The FGB was established in Milan in 2009 in memory of Guido Bernardini as a non-profit educational body.

By means of the FGB, the Bernardini family intend to transmit their passion, professionalism and consciousness that scientific excellence is achievable also through high quality education.

Our objectives are:

• To promote and co-ordinate training programs and research projects pertaining to health, safety and ergonomics in laboratory animal facilities
• To promote and co-ordinate studies and projects pertaining to hygiene standards and enhancements in husbandry
• To co-operate and partner with associations and institutes operating in the laboratory animal sector
• To promote and spread automation technologies through the initiatives of the Leonardo Technology Forum
